Sheerwater Festival 2015

The Sheerwater Festival will take place once again this year on the shopping parade of Dartmouth Avenue in Sheerwater, Woking. After successes from the 2014 edition of the festival, 2015 hopes to bring even more joy to families in and around the area.
I feel privileged to be part of it once again, having created the marketing imagery and campaign myself. Additionally, I have the opportunity to host my own exhibition at St Michael's Church. This year however, I have managed to enlist a handful of other artists to display their own work!
For me, it is all about giving artists a chance to shine, putting their work in a space for the sole satisfaction of having it on display. If like last year any pieces are to be sold, even better! The Sheerwater Festival offers that perfect opportunity for parents and children to gather in a friendly and communal environment, partaking in games and activities that bring us all together and celebrate the best of Sheerwater and the surrounding areas. Art of course is something that does that in and of itself, so it is fantastic to be able to share my own art within the area in which I grew up. It is also rather thrilling to manage the exhibition myself and garner fellow artists from the local area, who share the same passion as I for the field.
I look forward to the big day and hope the weather holds out, and while all the best to everyone involved.
Make sure it’s in your diary’s!
12th September, 2015.
