Having spent time working at Tony Fresko as an ice-cream salesman, I have also had the opportunity to help boost sales with a carefully concocted piece of marketing. Using my knowledge of graphic design I have been able to craft a poster which aims to promote the locally renowned Fatboy ice-cream and attract custom by proposing a 'Man vs Food' -like challenege... Fatboy Friday would occur on a weekly basis in order to help boost both the sales and interest of the Fatboy ice-cream. The object is simple: idolise the Fatboy ice-cream on the Friday of every week.

During normal rounds, regular customers will always have the chance to purchase a Fatboy every day of the week. However because it is not too often that Fatboy’s are sold on the rounds, especially to frequent customers who are already spending recurrent amounts of money, this initiative could offer incentive for purchase on a regular but frequent basis. A kind of ideological platform that is self-promoting of the Fatboy ice-cream and can enable customers to join in on the fun, unity and novelty of once a week extra large ice-cream. So with the alliteration of “Fatboy Friday’s” ringing it in the ears, it sounds catchy and stimulating enough for people to become intrigued. The reward for taking on such a challenge of this designated day of the week, a “hall of fame” type of arrangement is perfect. Pictures can be taken of the ‘challeneger’ and/or their names posted on the facebook page. This too would encourage likes and sharing of the facebook page.
